England have beaten Brazil for the first time in 23 years but it is Jack Wilshere that everyone is talking about.
The midfielder has been lauded for his performance at Wembley against the South Americans; a performance that led to his man of the match award.
The 21-year-old had a solid game with fellow midfielder Frank Lampard calling him a "fantastic player" with great technical ability and quality on the ball.
Lampard added: "He is going to be a massive player for England and in the world."
Some are already saying his skills are reminiscent of Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta.
In the game of Wednesday night, Wilshere outplayed the much hyped Neymar who failed to shine for the Brazilians and missed a sitter in the first half.
Wilshere is being touted as a future national hero, much like Paul Gascoigne, and England manager Roy Hodgson agrees the potential is there: "To be frank, if Jack Wilshere keeps up that level of performance he will soon justify all the expectations."
England won the game 2-1 with Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard scoring for the home side.
