Opposition activists claim at least 25 people have been killed after Syrian government forces attack the town of Helfaya in Hama province.
Footage has emerged, which has been uploaded to a social media website and cannot be verified, of at least three bodies lying in a street and several more inside cars, some disfigured beyond recognition.
Some body parts lay near walls and in a house nearby.
The narrator said: "Aftermath of heavy shelling by Assad gangs on unarmed citizens, oh God is great on you Arabs, God is great. Here the kids were sleeping when the bomb landed, God is great on you Arabs."
One activist said the town - which is a rebel stronghold - came under fire after insurgent fighters attacked several checkpoints just outside it.
