An Egyptian man who was dragged naked through the streets of Cairo by riot police has admitted security forces were responsible, after initially blaming other protesters.
The shocking footage, which showed Hamada Saber, 50, being stripped naked, dragged across the ground and beaten by police has caused outrage in the country.
While Saber initially said protestors had beaten him, he later said police were to blame, saying he had been coerced into giving a false testimony.
The video of Saber has infuriated the opposition, which accuses President Mohamed Mursi of ordering a harsh crackdown on protests two years after the uprising that toppled autocrat Hosni Mubarak.
Mursi's office has promised an investigation into the incident, which followed the deadliest wave of bloodshed of his seven-month rule.
